How do I remove or rearrange desk top icons in vista 64x?

I want to clean up my desk top a bit and for some reason my right click does not work, nothing happens when I click in an open space. It used to work. Any suggestions would really be appreciated. Thanks

If you only want to remove/shift shortcuts from the Desktop
Open the Computer Window by left clicking on Start and then Computer and when that window opens left click on Desktop.

Then when that window opens highlight the Shortcuts you want to remove, delete them or move them from the desktop. If there is more than 1 Shortcut involved hold down the Control Key as you select the different Icons to move/remove.

Just make sure that you are using a Full Admin Account and not a Limited User Account when you do this though as any changes you attempt to make will not be permanent.

Dont for get the "All users" desktop
Hi you may also want to browse to the "all users" desktop folder and clean that one as well, some apps may have been installed to that desktop as well.
