Can I delete the old disk structure folder

My winXP computer was running very rough. My computer gave me an option of restoring without losing current information. now my 250GB hard drive has 500mb free space. I've moved documents and photos from the folder my computer called "my old disk structure, date, time" it takes up 192GB of space on my drive. does my computer need this folder or can i delete it and recover the space? thanks for your assist

old disk structure
the following link makes it seem like its hard to delete. sound like a good idea to copy it to external media if possible before deleting the original.
