Bios in the system is not fully ACPI compliant?

Hi,

After completion of installing Windows 7 ultimate 32bit on a dell Laptop N5110, I got a blue screen with following error:

The Bios in the system is not fully ACPI compliant. please contact your system vendor for an updated BIOS.

***STOP: 0x000000A5(...)

BIOS Version: A09

Any help please.

Here you need to go to the Dell Web Site
And check for a newer version of BIOS so a A10 or higher number is required.

This error is to do with Battery Management that is not supported by 7 and your BIOS.

also RAM can cause this . . .
how much RAM is installed and
did the system run with a previous version of windows with the same amount of RAM?

eg.
i have an old system that's supposed to accept 512MB PC100 SDRAM (max.)
and it does and BIOS sees it counts it and tests it and so does the WMD boot disc
but when I install the 512, a win2k or XP existing installation will not boot or install fresh
it gives the non ACPI compliant BIOS BSOD
but win98SE will install & run on 256 to 512MB
also, unless I reduce the RAM to no more than 256MB
an upgrade over 98SE of 2k or XP install fails

The joys of RAM.

I suspect that your RAM issue is that you need older RAM than what you bought.

I have had a number of PC100 SDRAM modules that while recognized by the BIOS would not work with Windows.

There are just too many variations of PC100 RAM technology out there. You need to find the specific memory density, refresh rate, and CAS that matches the BIOS on the system.
