Microsoft Word

when saving a document in xp, microsoft office 10, it will save multiple times. I created this document without any special permissions or properties. Each occurance will save the file two to three times. I have tried different locations but the results are the same. Each file is a clone of the save, same attributes.

Clarifications

As you describe this problem, this one would be a first for me. My question is this. How do you know it saves multiple times? As no 2 files bearing the same name can occupy the same folder, are you saying that Word names these extra saves with additional characters in the filename? If so, please describe further. i.e. filename.doc, filename2.doc or copy of filename.doc. Something is either adding more to the filename in order to save multiple copies. This I find quite interesting.
