Windows Defender

Hi guys, I recently installed Microsoft Security Essentials on my laptop. I was wondering, do I need to turn Windows Defender on as well for protection?

No you do not
Microsoft Security Essentials is the replacement for Windows Defender.

Not only that, but the installation process for MSE will detect
Windows Defender and turn it off! Windows Defender is only
a scan on demand antimalware defense, whereas MS Security
Essentials is an always on defense.
