Intermittent Internet Connection

Having trouble with an wired internet connection using an ethernet cable, its intermittent, what can I do to fix this?

What is the layout of the network here?

Provided that the cables are OK and none of them are damaged it has to be something in the setup of your Network causing this to happen.
