Audio Recording to Computer file
I have recorded something on an Olympus VN-7100 digital voice recorder and want to transfer it onto my computer as a file. I don't see a USB port anywhere on the recorder so I'm wondering how to do this.

What's the point of that? Why would he want to downgrade his recording from stereo to mono?

He doesn't need to be quiet. The signal is being fed directly into the sound card via cable, therefore no background audio will be heard.
