Find the XP VM, right-click it and choose Settings. Under the network settings you'll have a few different options. From memory it will be set to NAT by default. To do that run the VM, Ctrl+Alt+Del and choose the options to Shutdown.

I have a user that is accessing an app (sunsystems FMS) via citrix. It has a lot of issues running on win7 so I configured the pc to run in xp mode via virtual machine. However, within her app she needs to have access to her network files and the mapping in citrix/win xp are not showing up. I have not use the virtual pc much and wanted to put this out for a those that might have a better idea. Thanks!
