What is a programmer?
And what kinds of "programming" would you like to do? I can do a little HTML, and a tiny bit of JavaScript (nested in PL/SQL), but the bulk of my present work is in PL/SQL and SQR. I have in the past worked in quite a lot of languages, including 4 assemblers. If you think you would be happy writing in the languages you mention, go ahead, learn them and apply for a trainee position. But programming isn't about any one programming language, it is about building abstractions.
