How to change ADUC field format

Hi,
May I ask for help on a script (powershell) to change the format (output) of a Active Directory Users and Computers "Telephone Number" field for bulk of users. I want all to look like (xxx) xxx-xxxx . I have 2500 users and not all users "Telephone Number" field look standard. I would apprecite your help.
