Server - CPU Utilization

Dear All,

Need your quick support to solve an issue.

We have a web-logic windows server running a portal, during certain point of time CPU utilization seems 100% and does not come down. We are sure not much customer even using the portal in real-time. We could not identify exactly what make it to reach 100% usage. Please let me know if any tool to identify the exact reason for it to happen. We just wanted to know exactly what make CPU to reach 100% usage. Thanks in advance.

Kernrate
Kernrate is a good place to start. It polls the CPU every few milliseconds to see what it is doing. WHen you're happy you've let it gather enough info you stop it, and it spits out stats about how long it spent doing what.
