We are in process of CRM sugar CRM corporate edtion for the marketing/sales which suporrts the andriod,blackberry devices, I have recommended procrement team for Tablet they say tablets does not last for more than 2 years hence laptop is receommended,
can anyone please suggest me and also advantages of tablets over laptop and is tablets recomended,

Tablets are lighter and more portable than Note Books
They are also currently More Fashionable,
but otherwise they are underpowered way too expensive for what they are and generally speaking crap.

Thank you very much for the reply, is it a fact that tablets does not last for more than 2 years and laptops last for 4 years. Iam not conveninced with this from my procurement team can anybody suggest please.

Personally I don't know for sure as a lot depends on how the devices are treated by the users.
But as a lot of Tablets can not have their batteries changed easily without dismantling then I would tend to agree with your procurement team. Personally I wouldn't expect them to last as long as a NB but that's maybe just me.

notebooks vs "tablets"
Is it the case that (or, should I say, is it the opinion of your IT) that it is easier to mandate a particular notebook model and specification vs a tablet? meaning, if "tablets" are allowed, then every user will want to bring his own, making the project more complex to implement and support?
