I'm a domain admin on my work's large network, running Windows 2008 R2 domain controllers, dns, dhcp, cisco vpn, web servers, and a bunch of other boxes. At times I work remotely from home, using a personal PC running windows 8 that is not a domain member. I log on to this computer with local credentials.A connection is established using Cisco AnyConnect and my domain credentials.Lately I've been using an RDP session to connect to a work computer and do my work. However, that sucks a huge amount of bandwidth. My ability to work is reduced to a crawl. I'm looking to decrease the load on the VPN tunnel. Therefore, I installed RSAT for Win8. PROBLEM: I'm not able to connect the ADUC module because my credentials don't match, and I'm unable to see/where/how to RUN-AS except as the PC's local administrator. It's probably something simple, but I cannot find how to run the domain administrative tools with my domain admin credentials. Can anyone help?
