Rapid7 UPnP scan

I downloaded the scan from Rapid7 this morning to check my hard drive for the UPnP app for which Homeland Security has issued an advisory. I started to run it and it asked for my personal information plus it wanted to install Java on my computer which has already been classified as a threat to computer security. What's going on here?
