HP Officejet Pro L7680 printer problem

Computer is running Windows 7 Home 64 bit. The printer has always had a wired connection but I need to change that to connect with wlreless router that meets all specs for conversion. All drivers/software installed have been updated and software installation goes smoothly until actual network setup on the printer itself is required. Printer cannot be reset to original defaults; in Setup/Network menu the Wireless Wizard never appears; the printer shows a wired network with no way to change it. The last time I used HP support for a printer problem, they had me delete critical components of operating software on my computer so that it had to be professionally restored.
