Hi,

It's Simple You said you did 3 partition of your HDD
now try to back up the files of PARTITION D: to your E:

then install now the xp.

later on if the installation is finish then just try to copy back the files to your PARTITION D: documents.

Hope this will help you.

Data Recovery Software
You need data recovery software. One of the better free ones is called TestDisk (although this is a bit hard for a novice to navigate). GetDataBack, SpinRite, O&O, and EasyRecovery are some others to look at.

Step 1 is to run one of these tools and point it to the D: drive. I'd probably start with GetDataBack because it is simple. If that can't recover anything (which it may not be able to since the structure/master file table on D: doesn't appear to be in-tact) then try EasyRecovery and choose a raw recovery.

Once you've recovered what you can, run a thorough chkdsk on drive D:. This may in fact fix the drive (meaning you don't need the recovered files after all). Even if it does fix the issue, check the summary lines for Bad Sectors. If this is anything other than 0KB then you have a physically bad hard drive and it needs to be replaced with a new one (otherwise the data on C:, D: and E: will all be at risk).

Data Recovery tool.
Coincidentally, recently, my WD 1TB flash drive also experienced the similar problems.
A few days ago, after plunging the drive into my computer, the same messages you received also popped out and asked me to format it. However, the inner data cannot allow me to do that. Hence, I googled the similar problems over the internet and hoped to find a way out.
Luckily, I finally found a drive recovery freeware called iCare Data Recovery Free.
It was quite efficient and free. Now, I have restored all my data back, including 50 images, 20 files and 10 videos.
So, it may help you, too.
In the future, you should learn a lesson to keep everything important backed up all the time.
