How accurate deep and specific search on internet ?

I need to find something very specific on Google or on any other search engine.
Example : a laboratory or R&D center (university or not) working on Magnetite smaller than 10 nano.
Or a company producing it ?

My questions :
1. are there search engine other than Google which are more suited ?
2. are there some software enhancing such a search ?
3. Do I need to use a search script on Google or any other search engine ?
