Win 7 My Docs & Win 8 My Docs shared but Win 8 doesn't like it

I have a dual boot system betweek Windows 7 and Windows 8. A third partition is where My Documents is stored. Both OSs point to the same My Documents. But every time I boot into Win 8 it trashes the Windows 7 security on the folder.
Previously I had the same setup but with Windows 7 and Windows XP. No problems. Idea?

Part of it has to do with file ownership, and part with User Access Control

The only advice I can give is to make lots of backups, try to stick to using one OS, and note that neither Linux nor Mac OS-X tend to have these sorts of issues.... happy

I'm still thinking Win8 is clobbering the permissions - no matter what I do.
