Updating Server 2008 with WSUS Enable

The only way that I have available to apply windows updates to my server 2008 is to 'install updates and shut down'. My windows updates are applied to my computers in the domain via WSUS. Is it possible to install the updates and simply reboot vs. shutting down? Do I just need to modify my group policy to do this?

Thanks.
