RAS Password requirements

When I dial in on RAS I get a dialog box that says I need a password to logon to \\server\ipc$. I can not find where this got set up or how to disable it. Can someone help me?

Does your acount have rights to dial into the computer? The IPC$ is the system share for sharing named pipes, so I would check your account rights first.

Could you be more specific? Like what are you dialing from (NT, 98), to (NT, 98), etc. The problem you describe sometimes happens if you are dialing into a domain but not logging into it correctly.

It's very simpel, you don't have access to that server. Check your username on that server in the DOMAIN you're working on !!!

Put yourself into the group of Domain user and check if you have a right to login remotely.
