Basically it sounds like you want to split your tree into two separate trees. Novell does not recommend doing this....but....if you want to, they have a TID on their web site that tells how: "Separating into two trees.", TID #2912566.

Good luck.

You can use DSMERGE to merge the trees and/or rename them. See Novells Web/documentation for more information on DSMERGE. "The DSMERGE utility allows you to merge the [Root] of two separate NDS trees. Only the [Root] objects are merged; container objects and their leaf objects maintain separate identities within the newly merged [Root].The two trees you merge are called the source tree and the target tree. To merge two trees, you load DSMERGE on a server in the source tree. DSMERGE does not change Directory names or contexts within the containers. Object and property rights for the merged objects are retained.
NOTE: You can't merge container or leaf objects with DSMERGE. To move leaf objects, use NetWare Administrator. To merge partitions, use NDS Manager."

Just use your "Move" utliity in the DS under "Object" and specify the new context. Also the easiest way to migrate your users is to use the move utility (you can select more then one @ a time but you should probally do it after hours, band width hog)to modify the user profile to reflect the new tree ie.. context, domain info etc.. This will keep the orginal rights and permissions in the new context as in the old.

Windows Updates
Had the same problem after December Updates.

Problem has resolved itself.
Machine is still on Auto Update.

I have seen no other reference to any one with the same symptoms.
