Business Analyst

Please let me know, whats the role of a business analyst in any software project development, what are the skills required for a business analyst specifically who is working on health care domian.

you have to analyse the business of course. Evaluate costs, find out if the product will sell (enough), what you need to realise the project,... I'd say you need some economic skills.

In short the role of the business analyst is to understand the requirements of a project BEFORE it gets started. A business analyst is supposed to find out who is the Sponsor of the project and what is the expectation to getting the business from its current state to future state. Business analyst are not usually required to do the financial part or the scheduling part (thats why you have Project Managers).
