How to bypass BIOS Passwords

by BFilmFan In reply to %1000% I CAN GET PAST AD ...

Since I hate spam and spammers, I will tell folks how to do it for free.

How to bypass BIOS passwords:

LabMice's Article;
http://labmice.techtarget.com/articles/BIOS_hack.htm

UK's TechSupport's Advice:
http://www.uktsupport.co.uk/reference/biosp.htm

Corky's Article on bypassing them using CmosPW
http://corky.net/2600/computers/reset-bios-password.shtml

And simply because you typed all in caps, I forwarded your spam of this forum to Hotmail.

I was a little thrown back by the original post too. Thanks for the links. This is a common issue that I have encountered on a few occasions. I have the feeling than I will be seeing it more and more as the popularity of notebooks increase.

Thanks again :)

What a putz!

by Oz_Media In reply to LOL

How do people like this actually live and breath in the world? What a low form of existence!

Thanks for the links, this coems up a lot and while I have someIBM and related info, one can never have enough resources.

P.S. This isn't the first time this guy has posted the same message here, we don't normally promote hacking the BIOS passords, in many cases they are just hot noetbooks and the losers come here to crack them to sell them.

Maybe

BFilmFan should post his links in a new discussion thread so that we can remove this crap.

I wonder if this "guillory2003@hotmail.com" gets any emails. I've got a few emails to send him.

Have you got up your sleeve now?

Colin,

by house In reply to OZ what types of Virus

I was trying to be subtle. I am amazed at the amount of people who post garbage and don't display tact when responding to their peers. TR is a "tech" forum, so I'm sure that some of us have crawled from the underground scene to professional status.

I was thinking more along the lines of a simple tactic like; "this is the model of my computer", <evil plan has been removed by myself - because this is a tech forum - not a rogue newsgroup> I wouldn't bother with that crap, but some others may. :)

Sleeve?

by Oz_Media In reply to OZ what types of Virus

I was wondering about those purple and yellow spots on my wiener not my computer.

We really aren't supposed to discuss such malicious intent online, are we?

Yeah I would submit the address to a porn spam list, the guy wastes our time why not **** on his time too.

by 5jgibbs In reply to How to bypass BIOS Passwo ...

well, dont you just reset the bios via the jumper on the motherboard?? any dell tec should tell you that.. lol.. geesh.. unless they have changed things, thats how i fixed my sisters Dell.. but who buys dell anyway.. they are great server computers, but build your own home computer :)

cheers..

That's "bios" though

by house In reply to hmm

Some laptops have a security chip installed with no jumper setting, the newer Dell machines included. Bypassing the boot password would be considered an essential skill. The boot password is not the same as the bios password. As far as I know, there is no way of bypassing the security chip password, aside from retrieving the master admin code from the manufacturer, or by completely replacing that chip.
