16 bit & 32 Bits

In general, applications written specificially to work with a Windows version of Win95 or higher are 32-bit programs (but that isn't always the case). All Windows/DOS applications created prior to the release of Win95 ar 16-bit.

There is no direct way to tell whether a given application is 16-bit or 32-bit. If you have Norton Utilities, you can use the System Information Utility to llok at processes running in memory. Norton will show iconicly whether the process is 16-bit or 32-bit.

Win2K is 32-bit. WinXP is available in a 64-bit version. Windows Server 2003 Standard is 32-bit. Enterprise and Datacenter Editions support 64-bit processors.

Hope this answers your questions.
