2 servers with the same windows Network

Hi

Can I have two servers with the same host name in a routed network .
Ex.
Server_ADM is the server name i want to have the same server in a domain or a workgroup but on the same Network i.e IP network.

Ok, so this is what you want...

2 servers called G:

1 -- 192.168.0.1
2 -- 192.168.0.2

so that: g--g-- LAN

In short, no. NETBIOS and WINS will not allow replication of the same name across a similar network segment. Sorry

How did you "simulate" this??

All I can say is that if you successfully simulated it, go with your solution.

However, when things don't work properly, don't forget we told you so.

It is perfectly possible. All you do is set the IP address of your second server manually while letting the first get set automatically. Bingo, you are there. Try it

hi yes this is possible there are 2 mathods for that first one is crete 2 dhcp servers for both networks give the address range 192.168.0.50 and other is 192.168.0.51 to 192.168.0.100 then it is poosible
