3620 keeps trying to access tftp

By this_random_person ·
I know I am going to kick myself when I see the reason, but for now I can't figure it out!

router info
IOS (tm) 3600 Software (C3620-JS-M), Version 12.0(5)T1,

Here is what keeps coming up on the terminal:

thats what it looks like from the errors, but that router isn't hooked up to the network at this time, and I don't see where in the config it is telling it to try to get the config's off tftp!?!

-thanks!

ervice Config is enabled

I hope you got an answer by now, if not here it is.

At the top of the config is the service config command. Normally this is disabled, but when the router was first booted it could not find the config file so the IOS automatically enabled the service config command to look on some sites defaulted in the IOS.

Modify the configuration to say "no service config" and it will go away. Make sure you saved your running config file to start using the command:
# copy run start

A great book to use for these items is an O'Reilly book entitled Cisco Cookbook. You can order it on-line from O'Reilly. Nice book to have. I use it in class all of the time.
