A Book about VC++.Net

By mkh ·
Hi all ,
I am a novice C++ programmer ,I'm planning to learn windows programming .Is it possible to start reading a book about VC++.Net like :
Sams Teach Yourself Visual C++.NET in 21 Days

http://www.samspublishing.com/catalog/product.asp?product_id={9A4B2333-4B67-48E7-A6A7-E45FF313CC46}

Or I have to study a book about VC++ first or any other prerequisite in order to be able to write windows/web apps .

Thank you in advance for you response ,
Masood

I find the sams teach yourself series excellent for beginners. Due to some enhancements in the .net framework I recommend you start with vc++ first before going onto .net. Besides, you will find it much more rewarding to read vc++ first and can helpyou learn the basics of other languages for the future.
