A+ Cert

By qballrail ·
I'm curious if anyone has taken the new A+ Adaptive Exams.. are they pretty tough or? I've been trying to study the course materials, "A+ Complete" by David Groth and Dan Newland and it seems pretty stringent.. even covers things I've not even encountered in my more than 8 years as a tech. Not to mention that I've never been good at taking tests, but the practical application is a whole different story as the fact that I'm STILL in the industry..

A+ adaptive

by mkcreations In reply to A+ Cert

I took the OS adaptive and it was not that hard. I only ended up with 20 questions. I took my hardware as the regular test and it had 70 questions. I liked the adaptive better. I used the tests on www.measureup.com and the questions they had were almost the same ones I had on my real tests. I am now A+ certified!! Good Luck

Took it in Feb

Passed both the first time with 18 q. on the Hardware Core and 20 q. on the OS Technologies. Relatively easy, fortunately I had some experience to bank on :) Thanks for all the input!

re A+ test

Hardware test takes abt 15 mins. very basic stuff-everything you'd expect
os test covers 2000 & NT alot alittle harder ( in my opinion) than the hardwaretest. Also only about 30 questions if i remember right. So basically you have to know everything because there is such a spectrum of topics they can cover in only 30 or so questions. The Scott Mueller book is the best i think-His website has the entire book in .pdf format if you want to preview it. I bought it and it is very comprehensive.
