Accesing Domain

By IamondTron ·
Hello, can someone please help to find out why I cannot view the Domain. On my client, For example:
Right clicking on a Folder/File, then sharing, then ADD, it's starts to search the exisitng Domain, but then it display Server unavailble. I can access the Domain thru My Network Icon on the desktop and access shared folders/files from the client. Is there a security setting or I am doing something wrong? Pls post msg if more info is needed.

Thanks in advance
KJG

If your computer cannot see Win2000, then you need to put in the win2000 computer, the user name and password and access rights to that Windows 2000 computer.

You do this in (Windows 2000) control panel --> Users --> Add

Save and thereafter your win2000 computer should be visible to that user on other computers.

thanks again Anna for trying to help. I tried that but didnt work. I think it has something to do with my password expiring on my client side. So I am now reconfiguring the client back to WORKGROUP and then rejoin the domain. I will have to figure out though why the password expired in the first place.
