Access 2000

By frec1 ·
One of my clients has a problem using Access in WIndows 2000 professional. Every other time she opens it she gets an Office 2000 set up screen saying preparing to install and after a a few seconds it opens up. What is the problem her workstation is the only one that does it. I thought about maybe installing it as an administrator but he user name has administrative rights. Thanks you in advance for you help.

You probobly just want to open the maximum registry size to 1 few MBs higher then what it's at so change will save in her profile. This is found under the virtual memory button on the performance tab.

It's probobly best to install office 2000 as the admin is there, it also updates the default user profile. That way when a new user is created on the machine, their profile will be created correctly with hte office 2000 stuff in it.

Good Luck to you

Mark

Sometimes it helps to reinstall under the user's profile. I've had many goofy problems with Office 2000 using profiles.
