Accessing IIS Web apps with Nestscape

By mmiller ·
I have had two Web applications that worked great in Internet Explorer, but timed out in Netscape. I fixed the first one by installing the software into the IIS root. I tried this with the second and it didn't work. It is a web search engine and I have already rewritten it and contacted their tech support (no help at all). I have a strong suspicion this is an IIS problem, possibly a problem with redirection. Any ideas why this is happening?

You are on the right track, I had a similar problem with IIS. Take a look at the IIS settings that load the main page and look at the default www page to be loaded. (this is a little vague as I can't remember all of the details - hope this helps somewhat)

Check out your default page for that directory. From what I know, redirection in pages does not concern itself with either IE or Netscape. You can try to determine the browser used to view your page and act accordingly.
