Access:zeroes disappear in text transfer

By rboyer ·
I have a table that I export to a text file. I use a fixed width specification. I have several fields that are number fields. When they are transfered if it is a whole number then it drops the .00. Does anyone know how to correct this?

Ok, first things first. There are different types of number fields in Access. The default is usually a long integer. If you want to maintain decimals in your export first make sure the number type is single, double or currency. The next step is to change the decimal from auto to 2. If you do this it will export the way you want.
