hello to all , Please can any one help me to sort out, that i have an old ibm pc it gives me error "acpi rendor " on a blue screen ,before the partition setup page on xp please help me

Not sure on this one but I seem to remember

That this is a BIOS Error and could be a flat BIOS Battery or a result of a Flat BIOS Battery. You need to replace the BIOS Battery and then set the BIOS again.

Pay Attention to the Correct Date & Time and HDD Specifications when you setup the BIOS and Remember to save the changes as you exit the BIOS.

ACPI Setting

Another thing to check is that many older systems defaulted to ACPI mode disabled. If you install Windows with ACPI disabled, you get that good old "It is now safe to turn off your computer." screen.

Look in the PCI or power management sections of BIOS setup for the ACPI setting.
