How can I remove or demote a Domain Controller manually in Windows 2000 Server.

Yes, you can do that by running dcpromo.exe. The command dcpromo is for both installing and uninstalling ADS.

Ditto... Run DCPROMO on the server you want to remove from the domain.

I did before I sent the message. Being that it was a Domain controler and also global catalog when you run dcpromo the server can't communicate with another domain controler, so the server was not allowing me to demote.

I went ahead and connectedboth servers into a router and made DNS changes, removed global catalog and I was able to dcpromo after.
