active directory sorting indexes, and other boot up errors in the log

Having done nothing to a w/2003 server for a month other than letting auto updates apply, It’s been mainly used as a workgroup file server, sudden’y is giving the sorting indices message at boot time and a bunch of errors in the log files relating to missing users as services are trying to start.

  Does this Server have Mysql on it?

  If this is a domain controller with AD, it would be a domain environment, not a workgroup. Which is it?

    Workgroup, not domain.
