ADS to Openldap

By vijay_kar ·
Hi All,

I have configured Openldap for postfix users and ADS for exchange users both are working fine.

What I want is Microsoft ADS Users in UNIX OpenLDAP.

I have tried "acctsync" but the same is not working. Please tell me if any one as done this.

Thanks,
VK

Windows 2000 or Windows 2003? I'm asking because I recently tried this with HP-UX/NDS (Netscape Directory Server). It worked fine on 2000, but 2003 posed problems. 2003 changed the way Kerberos and other authentication layers work. This caused issues. HP does not even have it working yet in their labs. The same issues would hold true with Openldap. Otherwise I have done something similiar with 2000 on NDS so Openldap should work fine, but I'm not too sure about the particulars on the Openldap config. The ADS config side was pretty simple and probably wouldn't change for your setup.

Samba now allows the Linux machine to integrate into the Active Directory environment.
