ADSL and PPTP on SBS4.5

By acomputers3 ·
I have been trying to get PPTP working on my SBS server for some time now without success. I have updated my cisco675 router to 2.1.0a cbos to enable handling of packet type 47 GREs. I am now receiving an "error 721: Remote PPP peer not responding." I have enabled nat in the router for port 1723(PPTP port)and still the same result. Does anyone have any thoughts on this problem?

How did you enable it?
this way?
set nat entry add <internal ip> <internal port> <external ip> <external port> tcp

you can set nat entry delete too!

how did you upgrade your Cbos on your 675?

Did you make sure you did a write and reboot after doing the configuration? do a "show run" to make sure it is in there. You will see all the set nat entry adds you did at the bottom of the list of info there. Also Do you own static IP's or not? if you set the configuration and you lose yourlease then all the settings become nul and void. To get your IP of your router you will see it in your "show run" under I think it is World wide something or other.

GOOD LUCK!
