ADSL- VPN nightmare......

By dthirlway ·
I am onsite and I have set up a PopTop connection between two Linux servers. I can ping IP address on another machine at the other site. But when you try to assess a SMB share or make a Terminal Services Connection it does not work.

So I decided to set up a road worry connection from a windows XP Pro box but get a 619 error saying the port is closed.

Some services seem to work but other dont, it I can brows the web, I can trace the trouts and I can even use webmin to access the other Linux server at the othe site.

Helpppppp

I am not familiar with POPTOP but I have set up linux boxes for VPN's and you will run into problems if you have NAT enabled. I would try removing NAT. Could you provide more info on the road warrior set up.
