Hi

I have setup to be alerted in server manager,
this works, but it alerts me that my disk is running out of space although it has 3Gb available.

Can i set the threshold on this ?

I would re check the message, what you are looking for is which DRIVE LETTER is running out of space e.g. C:\ D:\. Have a look in the Event Viewer for more detail, or even the explorer, and either delete some files e.g. empty the recycle bin, move files to another partition - be careful.
The other thing is to check which machine the message is coming from, it maybe an alert from another machine. If so then check that machines Event Log.

I guess you have 30GB. By default that administrative alert is triggered if less than 10% disk space is available. Go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters,
Edit or create the value DiskSpaceThreshold which is a REG_DWORD and set it to the percentage that suits you.
