Always on Top!

By Blackcurrant ·
Hi

Does anyone know how to configure Windows so that an 'always on top' option is available from the title bar?

I use WindowsBlinds on my home machine which 'skins' Windows. Every window's title bar has a 'pushpin' icon that cuases that window to be 'always on top'. I would like to use this at work, and some of the other users have also asked about it.

I have looked at the settings in the Display applet in Control Panel but could not see anything useful. I have also done a quick web search, but all I could see were references to programs that included it as a feature.

If anyone knows how to do this without installing a program I would be very grateful.

I don't if this is what you are seeking Black, but this is from Code Guru for keeping a Window always on top:

And I ran across this on Winguides:

And there is On Top from NuSoft, which I think is still either freeware or cheapware:

Hi BFilmFan, and thanks for answering. Yes, this would answer my question, but I'm afraid that such code is Double-Dutch to me. It's something that has always baffled me - I used to have fun with the average MS-DOS batch file - but scripting ties me loops!

Does anyone know of any registry tweaks that would enable this feature?

Well, BFilmFan, you get the points again. Many thanks for answering. I eventually found a great little utility called Pushpin at:
