Friend, I think it's time to upgrade your computer anyway... I don't think there's a way other than trying VERY hard to recall your password. Advice to you, try to keep your passwords in a list, and then (though it sounds ironic) password-protect it.

The American Megatrends Web-site may be able to assist - or at least point you in right direction to get round motherboard /chip problems
http://www.ami.com/support/bios.cfm

It will help work out what motherboard you have and therefore who to contact.

There should be a jumber of the motherboard to adjust CPU speed - see inside of casing for motherboard diagram (hopefully!). Is the BIOS chip and battery both in the right way round?

Dear,
Try to find out written test on the motherboard because some motherboard having Alpha key combinations while powerup the PC to loose the system setup. Like press E key while power on the PC or Press J key to while powerup the PC to autodetect CPU speed. First of all try to loose the setup by press "E" while powerup and and then shutdown PC and again press "J" while powerup to sense autodetect speed of CPU.
