An invalid ADSI pathname was passed

By jeff.allen@lightningsourc ·
I'm having issues with Exchange System manager after removing my Exchange 5.5 server from the organization. When I attempt to expand Server>Servername, I get "An invalid ADSI pathname was passed. ID#80005000." I've done tons of research, but I can't find out how to discover what "ADSI pathname" is being passed, nor how to correct the problem. Help!

ADSI Pathname is a X500 (or LDAP) path to an object, in this case a server. You can view/edit the Active Directory LDAP using ADSIEDIT.MSC from the Win 2000 Support Tools. Be careful using this utility.

Thanks for the feedback. I've poured through ADSI edit and ldp.exe to no avail. However, I did find the answer: I had mistakenly (I still don't know how!) removed the permissions from the Exchange Administrator account. Once those permissions were restored, everything worked fine!
