Anti-virus Software Recommendation

By sstone ·
We just recently received a Windows 2000
workstation computer that needs an anti-virus
program for the client station as it is a
stand-alone system. Please contact me
with any good or bad recommendation of existing programs. Thanks.

Nortons Anti-Virus Program seems to be a good choice for corporate users and it provives useful diagnostic tools to help maintain your machines.
McAFEE is another good anti-virus program that is also good, yet I think it does not offer the same products in a package and therefore is more or less a home users program.
Go to their web site to learn more.
see www.symantech.com
It works better in a Network enviroment.

We have been using Norton Antivirus software here at the university for over a year. Prior to switching to Norton, we were using McAfee software. The comparison is like night and day. The user interface alone is worth the switch let alone the live-update options. I also have the corporate version running on the file servers and the sexchange servers. I highly recommend Norton 2000 Antivirus software.
