Apple Mail Mailbox Full. Need to Backup Before Cleanup. Any suggestions?

My Apple Mail Mailbox is almost full. The new incoming emails take too long to load and the whole setup runs slow. This had happened to me before, a cleanup did everything straight. But this time, I need to backup all my email database, contacts, address book, everything. I am looking for the easiest solution to do that. Looking for some helpful answers. Thanks

There are a few ways to backup your emails. You can follow the steps outlined here -> https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201250

This also a utility that once installed will back up your emails: http://www.mailbackupx.com/how-to-scenerios/how-to-backup-thunderbird-for-mac-mails-on-mac.html

Mail backup x is a better approach

by ivan654.cole In reply to Try Time Machine Backup

Hello Fallon356,

Thanks for recommending the solution. I liked mail backup x software more, as it was a direct software solution that helped me backup my apple mail mailbox within a few clicks. I just needed to login my account credentials in mail backup x.

I would recommend this tool to anyone with the similar issues. Thanks

Both are actually okay. I sometimes use mail back up but I also use time machine (most of the time actually).
