AUTHENTICATION METHODS!!! Windows 2003

By jshtcm213 ·
How does authentication work in Windows 2003 server? Do you need IPsec? Ive read that for authentication, IPsec allows you to use Kerberos V5 protocol and certification authority (CA). Im a newbie to this, so how does this work in a windows 2003 network environment. Is authentication needed?

Thanks in advance

IPsec has nothing to do with authentication. IPsec is an encryption method. Microsofts version of Kerberos is used in 2003 authentication which differs slightly to the unix version of kerberos

Go to Microsofts site and read up
