auto Print report

By dennisbv ·
I am looking for a way to have something print on a schedule, like evry morning at 8:00 am. Ideally what I want to do is to create a report with Crystal reports and have it print every morning.

if you can get a batch file working then you can schedule it. or sorry if too simplistic an answer.
first see if you can get crystal to run from the command line, get the properties of the icon, the pick find target. drop to command line prompt and see what you get if say you type crystal.exe /? <enter>
i bet they have this documented on their website
then see if you can get crystal to run your report query from the command line. maybe like crystal.exe myquery <enter>
then put macro in myquery that prints report.
then schedule whole thing.
then figure out how to kill crystal and have first batch file call that crystal killer batch file.
this is almost for sure the long way but maybe you can get some ideas
