Automating VPN connection

By james ·
I currently have a Windows 2000 remote access server, with 30 Windows NT workstations all in remote locations and with DSL connections. They currently connect manually to the VPN, so that they can copy over that partiuclar day's logs to a designated folder on the remote access server. I was hoping someone would know how I could setup the server and workstations to autmatically make that connection in intervals of 30 minutes, once a day at 2:00 AM. This way, I would be able to cut out the having to use a person to manually connect and copy files over. Any assisstance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Respectfully,
James

Automating VPN connection

The scheduling would be fairly easy even though 15 hours to do it seems rather long. 30 X 30 minutes = 900 minutes = 15 hours... Why not use task schedular at each station and one of the many freeware task automation programs tucows.com and search... Sure hate to even mention it because it sounds like someone will be looking for a job...
