    Hi everyone,
I’m not a techie, but I’m working on a new business idea in this sector. Can anyone recommend on ways to find software developers who may be interested in working in startups?

    Thanks.

Is a place for freelancers. They are all over the world (though predominantly in the Far East) and are cheaper than going with a professional SW developer in your area who could charge upwards of $125/hour. You might be able to find a developer for around $50/hour.

The way this site works, you submit a project. The project is then available to developers to bid on. They can compete over price and submit examples of their work to you. That way you can choose someone who has good work.

Thanks for the info zatoichi, and FYI my Spanish sucks:P

I am currently finishing up an MBA program, and have a business concept I would like to develop. It involves building the usual B2C portal, but will provide more value added service rather than just providing matches between providers and customers.

This business will draw revenues mainly from pay per click ads, and also from commissions for direct sales. The application will greatly help users in their purchasing in a $100 bn industry (in US alone) which is underserved in the internet.

The application will involve 3D graphic manipulations from picture files, such as object relocations, replacements or rotation. Of course, this will only be for a given context.

I do not have a computer science background, so I’m looking for a partner with one, ideally with background in developing graphic apps or someone with project management experience.

          Hi,

Are you still looking for a partner with project management experience? If yes, lets get together as I too am interested in starting a venture.

          Please convey your thoughts.
