RESTART YOUR COMPUTER THEN RESTART THE INSTALLATION. i DID THAT 3 TIMES BUT NO USE. NOW THE COMPUTER WON’T BOOT FROM CD, AND KEEPS LOADING WINDOWS TILL I GET ANOTHER MSG THAT THE INSTALLATION WAS NOT COMPLETE, AND SETUP WILL RESTART AFTER RESTARTING THE COMPUTER. OF COURSE UNTIL NOW IT’S NOT WORKING. WHAT SHALL I DO??????? PLEASE HELP

…you’re trying to install Windows 7 on a PC that doesn’t support it. You may need to purchase newer hardware.

Second, try reposting this in the ‘Q&A’ forum. The ‘Discussion’ forum is for matters of general discussion, not specific problems in search of a solution. The ‘Water Cooler’ is for non-technical discussions. You can submit a question to ‘Q&A’ here:

      http://www.techrepublic.com/forum/questions/post?tag=mantle_skin;content

There are TR members who specifically seek out problems in need of a solution. Although there is some overlap between the forums, you’ll find more of those members in ‘Q&A’ than in ‘Discussions’ or ‘Water Cooler’.

Be sure to use the voting buttons to provide your feedback. Voting a ‘+’ does not necessarily mean that a given response contained the complete solution to your problem, but that it served to guide you toward it. This is intended to serve as an aid to those who may in the future have a problem similar to yours. If they have a ready source of reference available, perhaps won’t need to repeat questions previously asked and answered. If a post did contain the solution to your problem, you can also close the question by marking the helpful post as “The Answer”.

      Hardware incompatible

Since the advent of Vista, M$ has actually written programs that will not run or install on older hardware. All the way up to XP PRO, M$ let the third party provide the hardware and software for optional equipment. Then they decided they wanted it all supported by the OS and then the driver wars began again. Yes, it can be hard to figure out what hardware is not meeting or responding to the OS needs but a little sleuthing could reveal a memory fault or a jumper not set right.

      Shouting in print

How does one shout in print when one’s alphabet has only one case, e.g. Devanagari, Hebrew, Arabic, Gurmukhi? Does one just use bigger type, or is there something else one can do in some such alphabet?

        One?

”When one gets beaten up every other day in school, one of necessity develops a keen sense of hearing. Incidentally, one can get beaten up in school simply by referring to oneself as one. Sheldon Cooper – The Big Bang Theory

I thought that perhaps the “BIG PROBLEM” that the OP was posting about was a stuck Caps Lock key.
