    Blue Screen with Driver_Power_State_Failure

    Locked

    by ar_shashikumar ·

Hi, I have been facing a problem whenever I do shutdown/restart/standby, it shows Bluescreen with Driver_Power_State_Failure. Now I cannot do these functions at all. I had installed one software long back. After that I am getting this kind of issue. I had tried to restore it back to 3 months old and even I uninstalled that applicaiton also, but facing same problem. Could anyone please help me out regarding this.

          try removing unneeded USB devices

and extra ‘add in’ cards if that does not help.
This may help id the problem.

In the BSOD does it list the driver name?

Also try re-installing the USB drivers for your MB or USB card. Often the USB drivers for an MB are located in the ‘chipset’ drivers package.
AN OS update may be conflicting with something previously installed properly as well. Or a device may be malfunctioning, both of which a sys restore may not help with.

I been through this and i can say 100% that your harddrive is begining to fail, do not do anything more to your computer but (if possible) get another computer (or harddrive) and do a full copy of your harddrive. the less bootups you do on your computer at this time will give you just enough time to do a full copy.
Hope this works for you. Please post back if you are still having the same problem.
